RØDE Microphones is extremely proud to have been recognised with three awards in the 2008 Horizon Interactive Awards, announced late last week.
Now in its seventh year, the Horizon Interactive Awards is a global awards competition designed to highlight the ‘best-of-the-best’ in interactive media production.
The RØDE Microphones web site (www.rodemic.com) was recognised with Bronze awards in both the ‘Consumer Information’ and ‘Self Promotion/Company Identity’ categories, while RØDE’s innovative online education initiative, RØDE University (www.rodeuniversity.com) was recognised with a Silver award in the ‘Training’ category.
“RØDE is really excited to be awarded in such a prestigious manner” responded Scott Emerton, RØDE Microphones’ Communication Manager. “When creating and developing both the rodemic.com and rodeuniversity.com web sites the primary focus for our in-house team was to provide the best possible user experience. We really feel we’ve been successful in that respect and being awarded in such a manner reinforces our resolve to maintain that focus.”
RØDE joins a respected list of globally recognised brands to be acknowledged in this year’s awards, including Nike, Reebok, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Puma, Dolce & Gabbana, Casio, Adobe, Samsung and Sony.
“The 2008 competition was the most competitive to date. The work in this year’s competition is at such a high level that the judges really had their work cut out for them,” said Mike Sauce, founder of the Horizon Interactive Awards. “All of the winning entries displayed a high level of sophistication, aesthetic creativity, technical excellence and clear purpose.“
The international competition saw over 1000 entries from 20 countries around the world, with a judging panel consisting of Horizon Interactive Awards advisors, end users and a global team of respected industry professionals.
